I’ve admired Myrtle my entire life as a brave and unique pioneer. The resurgence of interest in the last couple of years has led me to extensive research discovering details about her life my family had not been aware of, reuniting with lost family members, and our rich Californio-Mexican-American history.
Wow. My Grandparents emigrated through Mexico and my mom was born there and I grew up hearing about who was from Mexico (Ramon Novarro) and who adopted Hispanic names (Ricardo Cortez) and this is a name that never came up. Thanks for this.
